Not only the Muntanella loves it here..*
Purely nature
In the almost traffic-free Fextal (approach road exclusive for the inhabitants of the Fex valley) you can relax excellently. During the day you enjoy the pictorial valley with the multicolored mountain flora and the many native animals. The Muntanella (alpine marmot), the Tschierv (deer, stag), Capricorn (Capricorn), Tschess barbet (bearded vulture) and also the Evla (stone eagle) are here to discover. By the way - should you now be proud about your knowledge of "Rumantsch", these terms of the “Rumantsch Grischun” are differently pronounced and written in the Oberengadin (upper Engadina) where one speaks “Puter”, a dialect.
In the summer you enjoy the irresistible beauty of nature, watch the flight of the eagle and/or the powerful rockers of the beard vulture. You can climb up to a mountain peak, hike along the river, visit the pictorial Lej's (mountain lakes) or relax on the banks of the Engadina lakes.
In the winter, the beautiful and well prepared long run slopes invite you to sporty activities in. Or you walk to the very end of the valley, Alp Muot Selvas, to have a break and a cup of tea and much more. (Only in the winter) For “alpine sportsmen” shuttle buses are available, which will bring you to Sils in few minutes. There, the skiing area is at your disposal.
Sleepy
After so much activities you enjoy the excellent dinner, which is served to you at the Pensiun Crasta. For night-active guests it has a rich-equipped library, or “milliuns da stailas” just outside to be observed. Buna notg - Durma bain!
*Muntanella = Alpine marmot - very common in the Fex valley. It's sharp whistleing is sometimes heard in spring and summer and is a sign of danger. During the winter, they sleep. In early spring you occasionally can watch them sledging down the hillside on their belly.
